بالأمس دعتنا جيرة لنذهب معا في تعزيلة الى منطقة بدر الجديدة، لمّة نرتب فيها أفكارنا بشأن ماذا نريد أن نتعلم وماذا ممكن ان نعلم. كان في هذه الجَمعة فرصة لنُعزل أفكارنا ونخلق مكاناً لنتعلم شيئا جديدا.
هذه ثاني زيارة لنا الى منطقة بدر الجديدة، ففي الزيارة الأولى قمنا بالتعريف عن تغميس وبالأمس قمنا بتيسير هذه الجلسة على مائدة طعام تغميسية اعدها سيدات المنطقة الرائعات. ونحن نتناول التغميسة سمح لنا الأهالي بمشاركتهم روح تغميس وبعكس فكرة التعلم وبان ننغمس جسديا وذهنيا في هذه اللحظات. كرم الضيافة والترحيب طغى على الحوار في بادئ الأمر، ولكن مع كاسات الشاي والحلويات وتبادل القصص استطعنا جميعا ان نخلق جوا من الألفة، حيث تلاقت قصصنا جميعا لتكون معناً جميلاً ومتكاملاً.
كل الشكر للمتلقى التربوي العربي، ولجميع من يتعاون معهم في “جيرة” وللرؤيا المختلفة لعمان بجعلها مدينة تعلمية ومضيافة بقصص وحكايا أهلها. تتحقق هذه الرؤيا في كل مرة نذهب فيها الى مجاورة في إحدى احياء عمان، وبالأنشطة التي يستضيفها الأهالي والمؤسسات وباختيارهم لفرص التعلم التي يريدون ان يخلقوها ويسعون لها.
Yesterday, Jeera invited us back to New Badir community for a ‘ta3zeeleh’, a gathering to organize our thoughts for the purpose of learning and exchange. We were looking to answer questions like ‘what would I like to learn?’ and ‘what can I teach?’
Having introduced Taghmees during our previous visit, we were invited to facilitate our learning discussion over a beautiful spread of breakfast taghmees arranged by the incredible women from the local library and community at large.
They generously allowed us the space to share the culture of Taghmees, transforming our casual table conversation into an immersive learning exchange. For moments we got lost in the excitement of the large and lively group, between the flowing tea, coffee, sweets and stories – a symphony of hospitality and good nature. Our learning was rich in struggles and hope, as the different pieces of our truths came together to create a more meaningful and beautiful whole.
Our thanks to the Arab Education Forum, their collaborators on Jeera, and for the vision for Amman “to become a hospitable city with regards to the experiences of her people. That learning becomes a continuous act through neighboring and various events and becomes hosted by the people and institutions as they choose the learning opportunities they want to create or search”. Your work is truly making Amman a hospitable place for learning.
